Vienna, Austria — April 2026 — Somapa Information Technology Public Company Limited (SomapaIT), a global leader in Smart Border Solutions, is pleased to announce its successful participation in the World Border Security Congress 2026, held in Vienna, Austria from 14–16 April 2026. This marks SomapaIT’s third attendance at the World Border Security Congress, reinforcing the company’s continued commitment to international collaboration, innovation, and the advancement of modern border management.

At this year’s Congress, SomapaIT used the Vienna platform to launch its new Digital Arrival Card solution, a core component of the company’s Smart Border Solutions ecosystem. Guided by the principle “Border Control Begins Before Arrival,” the solution is designed to help governments move beyond paper-based declarations and establish a more secure, efficient, and intelligence-led border environment.
SomapaIT’s Digital Arrival Card enables traveller information and declarations to be captured before arrival, allowing authorised border agencies to assess risk earlier, improve data quality, and coordinate decisions before a traveller reaches the border. The solution supports immigration, customs, health, quarantine, biosecurity, and other border stakeholders through a secure digital platform that strengthens national security, improves compliance, reduces manual processing, and delivers a more predictable traveller experience.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Nigel Manns, Executive Vice President for Global Government Engagement at SomapaIT, said:
“The World Border Security Congress provides an important global platform for governments, agencies, and technology partners to discuss the future of border management. SomapaIT is pleased to launch the Digital Arrival Card in Vienna as part of our commitment to practical innovation that strengthens security, improves facilitation, and supports the operational needs of modern border agencies.”
Mr. Manns added:
“Digital arrival capability is no longer simply an administrative convenience. It is becoming a foundation for intelligence-led border management. By enabling information to be collected, validated, assessed, and shared before a traveller arrives, governments can make better decisions earlier, protect their sovereignty, and provide a more efficient experience for legitimate travellers.”

SomapaIT’s participation in the Congress also provided valuable opportunities to engage with senior officials, international organisations, and border management professionals from around the world. Discussions throughout the event reflected the increasing global demand for integrated systems that balance security, facilitation, compliance, and inter-agency cooperation.
Reflecting on the engagement at the event, Mr. Manns said:
“Every border environment is different, and successful modernisation requires solutions that reflect national priorities, legal frameworks, operational realities, and agency responsibilities. Our approach is based on partnership and practical delivery, providing governments with flexible digital border capabilities that can support security, compliance, public health, biosecurity, revenue protection, and improved service delivery.”
SomapaIT extends its appreciation to the organisers of the World Border Security Congress and to the many delegates, partners, and government representatives who engaged with the company during the Vienna event. The company looks forward to continuing its dialogue with border agencies globally and to supporting governments as they pursue secure, efficient, and future-ready border management systems.
