Somapa platinum sponsor of the 2018 Border Management and Identity Conference

Somapa was the Platinum Sponsor of the 5th Border Management and Identity Conference held in Bangkok on 11 Dec 2018.

This conference is the largest of its kind in Asia and is hosted by IOM UN Migration and the Asia Pacific Smart Card Association (APSCA), under the auspices of the Royal Thai Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and facilitated by Thailand’s Immigration Bureau.

The conference’s 2018 theme was Alternative Approaches to Border and Identity Management. Significant attendees included IATA, ICAO, and INTERPOL. Also attending the Conference were nearly 400 delegates representing 72 countries.

On behalf of Somapa, Michael Lim gave a presentation on “How Smart Borders Contribute to Integrated Border Management”. 

The Somapa Display Stand was well patronised with representatives from over 20 countries visiting the stand and asking for detailed explanations on how “Smart Border Solution” operates.
